Architectural photography: what you need to know?
Using this type of survey, you can shoot a building of a commercial or residential type in order to convey its external features and dimensions as accurately as possible. This type of content is of interest to home builders as it allows the building to be shown from a favorable perspective.
When using professional equipment, you can shoot in full scale, which will allow not only to show in detail the dimensions of the house, but also to examine its decoration, as well as to carefully study the area in which it is located.
High-quality photographs or videos can be shown as a presentation for future investors, and can also be used as one of the proofs of a job well done during the construction phase. In addition, architectural photography is used for commercials to draw attention to a company or facility.
How is architectural photography done?
This type of video content differs significantly from standard video production. Its implementation consists of several stages, namely:
- Training. The customer needs to convey as accurately as possible information about the main concept and goal to the team that will work on the project. At the preliminary stage, the plans and angles of shooting, what time of day it will be carried out, the type of lighting, as well as the need to use additional equipment, such as cranes and drones, are discussed.
- Location inspection. To do this, a group of cameramen or photographers leaves for the place where the shooting will take place. They need to study the location in detail, and choose the most optimal places for shooting. If the object is under construction, shooting from the roof of neighboring buildings is possible.
- Removal. Equipment is installed at previously selected places. The shooting process begins. Its duration depends directly on the amount of work.
- Treatment. This step is required if you are shooting video. All finished material is reviewed, the best shots are selected. You can additionally perform voice acting, embed infographics, and add special effects and animation. Color correction is used to improve image quality.
